If you enjoy the warmth and natural tanning of Ultraviolet light we are able to offer you a vertical tanning unit (sunbed).For safety reasons our equipment is token operated in multiples of 3 minutes up to a maximum of 12 minutes. We will advise you on the maximum amount of minutes suitable for your skin tone and colour. It is not available for use by young people under the age of 18, and babies are not permitted in the same room as the sunbed.Gary Lipman, Chairman of The Sunbed Association, said "A few minutes 2-3 times a week on a sunbed has long been known and recommended by international experts as a viable way of securing and maintaining adequate vitamin D levels".
Cancer Research UK and other health organisations are preparing to amend their advice on responsible UV exposure, such is the weight of evidence confirming the relationship between vitamin D deficiency and chronic disease. It is estimated that six out of ten adults of working age in the UK are vitamin D deficient.
For your safety we are members of the Sunbed Association and to ensure that we adhere to their strict guidelines we have to undergo a thorough examination annually to retain membership.
